Dressed Up Summer

If you are anything like me, you feel a little off when you are dressed up. I am a jeans and tee shirt kind of girl, I go for comfort! I do have things in life that I do have to get a little bit dressed up for. I went through my wardrobe and found two laid back, yet not so casual looks that can be worn this summer.
I love crop tops, but I always need something a little higher waisted to pair them with. This maroon skirt is an amazing sheer fabric with a shorter under skirt and has slits on both sides. It gives a flirty peek of the leg, but still has a relaxed look to it.

Maroon is considered a neutral color in my eyes. Why you might ask, well...because it goes with almost any color you pair it with! The pop of the teal in this bag really brings the whole look together and it is small enough to hold only the basic things you need! Pair it with some gold jewelry and sling back sandals and you are good to go.

If the idea of a skirt and baring your belly makes you a little nervous, pants would be perfect for you. These dressed up floral bottoms are loud and perfect for summer. They graze the ankles, which allows for almost any type of shoe to be paired with them.

The best part about this pastel blue top is that it is a sweater material, it gives a little warmth on those colder days/nights. This look would even be killer at an office setting.

It doesn't matter if you are going to a wedding or to a nice lunch, dress for the occasion...but be COMFORTABLE!

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

I am getting ready to go off to the northern part of my state for a few days and with that rustic life is about to come my laid back vibes for clothing. Today's outfit really kicked it off with a bang, I feel. I have been itching to style these boyfriend shorts for about a month now and I seized the moment. Not only are they super relaxed and comfy, but they remind me a lot of the style that OneTeaspoon makes (and for almost a third of the cost).
Big cozy sweaters, rolled up distressed shorts, and denim jackets are key for summer pieces in my wardrobe. Michigan is being a little colder than usual for this time of year, so bare arms might not make the cut at times.

Not to mention mixing those denims could be daunting and scary for some, simply pick two different colors and toss them on. Denim always creates more of a rustic feel to an outfit (especially torn ones)!

So, ladies go and tousle your curly hair, throw on some over-sized shades and work the simply, but perfect look that you just put together.

OH...I hope everyone has an amazing three day weekend and remembers what Memorial Day really stands for. xx

The 60's and 70's Are Back, Baby!

Louis Vuitton just showed their Cruise 2015 line, I have honestly never watched a show by this brand, but I said hey, why not!? The laid back seating arrangements for the viewers and "cool" French music paved the way for what was about to come. Models strutted down the  curvy runway in preppy, but 70's vibed pieces. The pieces started out very cool, lots of tailored pants with fitted tops and structured jackets. As the show went on, the pieces started to flaunt more prints and unique cuts of clothing. Lace was paired with shiny leather, flared pants, and wild floral print were all over the place. All of the clothes reminded me a lot of how the foxy ladies of Austin Powers would dress.
As you can tell, I was all over the pants.  The look of the sleek pants paired with the belt around the waist created a classic look that anyone can try out. The waist accent is so figure flattering and can really bring out your best assets!
Can I also just toss in here that there was a lot of sleek hair, chunky heels, and not so dark shaded sunnies. If that doesn't scream "groovy baby, just groovy." I don't think anything will.

catch the show HERE!

For The Love Of Burberry!

I have been a Burberry addict now for a few years, but I can only afford their perfumes (college girl budget at it's finest). Every season I feel like Christopher Bailey really out does himself, he plays with colors and new ideas to always give a fun twist to classic pieces. With Spring time in our presence and summer right around the corner, I really started to appreciate the pastels, fun colors, and materials that really help to get us out of those winter blahs and Burberry did just that.

The beautiful pastel pieces mixed with the lace and then huge jewels added on top of that created an insane piece of art for the eyes. It is the laid back/sophisticated London goer tossed in with the crazy life of New York.  Classic pencil skirts paired with clear jackets, see through skirts, and gorgeous colored trench's are a few of the favorites that I spotted. I do not think Christopher Bailey could ever do any wrong! From his amazing works of art, to his well known cast of models. Did I mention how the grand finally is always something worth waiting for? Now, not everyone in the world will be able to afford a piece from this line, heck neither will I! What can we take from this line for s/s 2014? Play with those pastels!!!! Mix them all together, add different materials, get sparkly, and make a statement.

All About the Dolce

I ran into my local Sephora about a week ago to spend a gift card. If you are anything like me, this is not a very fast trip to take. I stop, smell, touch, and use almost everything, it is just who I am. Besides from picking up the usual beauty products, I remembered how much I loved the perfume that I just got my mom for her birthday. It is Dolce & Gabbana's new fragrance called Dolce.

I bought the .25 ozEau de Toilette Spray. It came in the same gorgeous and luxury feeling type of box and it looked incredibly high class and timeless. I think that is one of the things that draws me into a perfume, it the package is just as fabulous!

For the price of $29 it has notes of Neroli Leaves, Papaya Flower, White Amaryllis, White Daffodil, White Water Lily, Cashmeran, Musky Notes, Sandalwood. The smell is very delicate, yet sophisticated.  It is perfect for almost every ages, not to mention it works amazing with my body chemistry.

With it only being a .25 oz. it is perfect to toss in your purse for a little pick me up throughout the day, or if you are just in a big rush. Besides from the smell being amazing and the packaging, I really loved that it had a spray and not a roller ball. Don't get me wrong, roller balls are fine, but I am not a fan of having that dampness on my skin and having to rub it all in. I like things to be fast and simple.

So, my review of this new perfume by Dolce & Gabbana? 10/10! I am a big fan of Burberry Body, but it is a little too strong for summer, this one might just take the spot for my new spring/summer perfume!

Sunday Mask Day!

I have this little ritual of doing a face mask on my Sunday's and for the last month I have been crazy about Lush's Mask of Magnaminty! My pictures do not do the product justice, I feel. Lush is known for making products that are all natural, vegan/vegetarian, and usually food/plant based! This mask has crushed beans in it that work as an exfoliate for the face. Not to mention, it is great for waking up tired skin and helping to reduce acne and red spots.

It really does remind me of mint chocolate chip ice cream and I LOVE mint chocolate chip ice cream! It is so creamy on the face and tingles as it dries. I got the smaller size to try it out and now I know that I want to go out and buy the bigger size once it is gone. I honestly do not see the need to have people go out and spend a fortune on facial products, when this brand makes clean, fresh, and homemade ones that actually work!
I hope everyone goes and digs out a mask to put on and makes it their weekly routine!

Getting Dirty With Frank!

About a month ago, I started hearing all about this body/face scrub called Frank and kept trying to figure out what the talk was all about. I ended up ordering the coffee and coconut infused bag about week ago. The first thing I noticed that I really loved was the...FREE...SHIPPING! Yep, I am a total sucker for free shipping, guys! Plus, the product was under $20 ( around $17 for mine and $14 for the plain). But what really won be over was the things it promised. I am a US size 4-6, but used to be a 10-12 and because of that I have some stretch marks in places that I wish were not there. and cellulite that are in trouble spots. This product swears that the caffeine from  the ground coffee beans help to stimulate scars, stretch marks, cellulite, and acne to reduce over time. So, it was worth a shot in my eyes!

The packaging of the product is so amazing and simple, plus its a pretty big size for what the price was (totally worth the money)! I couldn't wait to smell it, so I popped it open and it brought me back to being a Barista. The smell of fresh ground coffee beans and coconut was insane. I had to pick some up to see what it felt like and almost felt like a grittier form of dirt. Besides from only seeing ground coffee beans, there was also sea salt, which was all soaked in amazing oils that are good for the skin.

Let's also talk about the labels on this bad boy. I don't know if I am just weird, but something about the flirty use of words makes me want to take my clothes off and scrub up! Mr.Frank is also from Australia and ladies we all know how sexy Australian men are. The last thing for me to do was to jump in and start scrubbing!
