Maxi dresses and pastels

What is it about the second that snow disappears, pastels consume the stores? I always have to give into the soft hues of the pinks, purples, and yellows! Weather has SLOWLY been improving over here in Michigan, but not fast enough. I had high hopes that if I busted out a maxi dress today that the weather would get warmer.

I recently just ordered this duster from NastyGal and I fell in love with the almost floor length. The light lavender shade complements well with the fun floral print of the maxi dress.

The look almost has a bohemian vibe to it, but more girly. I paired it with my favorite bag at the moment and my new Elizabeth and James sunnies for a fresh and fun look.

It is perfect for a relaxed day, or even if you are meeting up for lunch. It may be simple, but both of these pieces will be worn until they are dead for the next four months.

Monday Blue's

As I am sitting here typing this post, I can't help but laugh at how the weather is so blah out today...Mother Nature must know that it is Monday. All of us know exactly how those Monday Blue's feel: lazy, tired, and just not in the mood. Spring time is coming and so is all of the new fashion trends for this spring/ summer! It may be a little dull and blustery around my part of the world on this Monday, but that didn't stop me from showing you all my "Monday Blue's" outfit!
I went for a very casual look (since finals for college are this week), but I added in a lot of the hot hitters for this season.

aka: Birkenstock's, frayed at the bottom skinny jeans, leather bucket bags, and of course...denim.

What I love the most about all of these pieces are that you do NOT, I repeat again, DO NOT need a whole amount of confidence to wear them.

They all create this element of cool and laid back. Not to mention that these pieces do not have to cost you an arm and a leg to get your hands on. The shoes were my grandmas (brand new and all), she did not want them, so she tossed them my way! The Skinny jeans? Purchased about a year ago and I just recently cut the bottom hems off to create that desired look. Both of the shirts? Those cost me about $25 total! It is as easy as that, folks! Not to mention that if you are big into vintage finds, you could probably find things VERY similar to these looks!
So toss your hair into a braid or pony tail, grab your favorite sunnies, and hit the road. This look will be sure to please during the next spring/summer seasons!

Lorac Pro Pallet

With my birthday being about a week ago, I got a gift card to Ulta and knew exactly what I was going to get with it! I have had my eye on the Lorac Pro Pallet for about six months now and I knew it was time to cave in.
The packaging is so perfect and sleek. It feels a lot like Nars packaging.

The part that I love the most about it is that it as the same amount of matte as it does metallic! I have always been a Naked pallet fan, but this pallet might just be taking it's place.

The matte colors are all so great and will look great on everyone, it did seem a little harder to get a color swatch out of these shades than the metallic though.

These metallic's seriously are all so insane. These swatches were all done with just one swipe (primer was added to my arm first) and the color pigments are gorgeous. I am wearing Gold and Garnet today and I could not be happier with the results!

So is this pallet worth the $44? 100% YES YES YES!!! If you are looking for an all over pallet, this one really does take the cake. The shadows are so pigmented and feel so soft and silky when you apply it. Not to mention that there is hardly any fall out. Lorac gets a ten out of ten on this product!
