Gap Haul

I got a lot of goodies from the Gap this year for Christmas and I figured that was a perfection thing to make a post about! I put the pieces together to create a few different outfits, all of the sizes range from a size small and a size 4.  I love the way that the Gap's clothes fit my body and I was in DIRE need of some dressier pieces to wear into classrooms.

I loved the look of these two dresses on me, it reminded me of Zooey Deschanel and her style is amazing! I thought that these would be perfect to wear into classrooms for my student teaching or for any dressy occasion.

This denim jacket is such a perfect shade and will be an amazing staple piece in my wardrobe. While the blue top fits me, I could have went up a size (medium) to get a more relaxed fit.

As you could probably tell, I got a lot of denim and blue shaded pieces. This denim button up is such good quality! It's thick and a beautiful dark blue denim shade. The scarf is thick enough to wear in the winter weather, but also looks great to be worn as an accessory scarf.

Sephora/Ulta haul

I put together a small collective haul of some new makeup goodies that I recently purchased/ used Sephora points on! I do not go into a crazy amount of depth on each product, because I have not used all of them yet! Click on the links to learn more about each product listed.

Sephora

Kat Von D- Tattoo Liner

I have had the chance to use this for a few weeks and this pen is a new favorite, no wonder it is one of her best sellers. It is not a felt tip pen like other ones out there, it is an actual brush! Once I put this on, it goes NO where!

Tarte- Inner Rim Liner

I have been eyeing this for a few months now and I finally gave in and purchased this little beauty (thank the Lord for gift cards)! I use this for the inner rim of my eyes AND to make my cat eyes looking perfect.

Formula X- memorable

This was an on sale purchase and the color reminds me of a vintage grey/blue shade. I have it on my nails right now and it is gorgeous!

Buy similar color here

NARS Illuminator- Orgasm

This was a 100 point purchase, I have the full size in Copacabana, so when I saw this it only felt right to grab it!

Purchase full size here

Urban Decay- Urban Obsessions

I have a LOVE for Urban Decay pallets and I was able to score this for 500 points! It comes with 4 gorgeous colors, a mini 24/7 eye pencil, and a sample of the eye shadow primer. The colors are a cream shade, a tan color, a shimmery pink, and a black with silver sparkles.

Not available to purchase online

Ulta

NYX Concealer

I have heard a lot of good things about using green concealer to help with redness and breakouts, especially from this drugstore brand. Put this on first and then put normal concealer over the top to create a flawless look.

Purchase here

NYX Cream Shadow- Gold

It's creamy, it goes on with a crazy amount of color, and I got it on sale.

No longer available online

The Body Shop- Vitamin C Microdermabrasion

I snagged this when I was passing through the danger zone (we all know what I am talking about). My skin gets dry and dull during the winter, so I thought this would be a cheap and easy way to fix that.

Denim on Denim

I have been a fan of the whole denim on denim trend for a while now, but I took some ideas from Olivia Palermo.

Simple curled hair, skinny jeans, a denim button up shirt, and printed flats. It's as simple as that!! It is an effortless and cool look that can be easily dressed up or down. The possibilities for this trend are never ending, just grab some denim and put it on!

November Favorites

It is that time of the month were I go on about a few things that I have been loving for the past month. Not to mention that it is pretty crazy to think that it is already December!

1. Charlie Hunnam/Sons of Anarchy
The first one is this man...he deserves his own blog post, but for the sake of me not looking like a freak, I will just put him in my favorites. Ladies, meet Charlie Hunnam, for those of you that do not know who this is he plays Jax Teller in Sons of Anarchy. I honestly only started watching this show because he was in it, but then I fell in love with the plot and stayed for everything else.  Go yYouTubeor Google search this show, all I will say is that it is crazy, sexy, dangerous, and everything else you can think of...oh and that also goes along with the character he plays. It also has a bunch of guys riding motorcycles and covered in tattoos, so that is an instant must see.

2.  Mac Paint Pot- Layin Low

This is my first Paint Pot that I have ever purchased and I am a changed woman because of it! This shade is a little darker than the Painterly color, but it adds so much depth to my eyes when I want to do a simple look.

3. Rosebud Salve/ Bite lip scrub

These two things make my night time routine amazing! I keep these on my bedside table to put on right before I pass out. The lip scrub is not edible like the Lush ones are, but it works just as well! It has this amazing cherry flavor and the tiny beads are amazing for exfoliating. I scrub it on with my finger, wipe it off with a towel, and then add the rose scented salve on top. I have heard that this stuff is a dup for the Dior Creme De Rose as well.

Buy them here and here

4. Benefit Rockateur

This blush is KILLER! It reminds me of something a rock star/ bad girl would wear. The shade is a deep rose and it even smells like perfume. Not to mention that this stuff is perfect for winter, it gives a perfect flush to my cheeks.

5. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

I use this stuff year round, but I have been using it even more with winter arriving. I get dry patches on my face and arms and the oatmeal and other soothing ingredients help to fix that in no time. I have had this same bottle for a year and I have only used half of it and yes, I use it everyday! A little goes a long way!!

6. Bath and Body Works Tis the Season Candle

I have a candle hording problem, so I have been waiting to burn this one for a while and lets just say that my apartment smells like Heaven. Yep, Heaven. I can't even describe how perfect this scent is, but it smells exactly like Christmas. It is a mix of red apples, cinnamon, cloves, and green pine...told you it's perfect.

7. Noah Gundersen

I have really gotten back into acoustic/folk music and this man is incredible! I found him through Sons of Anarchy s soundtrack (go figure) and I fell in love. His voice is so full of emotion and I highly recommend you go and listen to "Day is Gone" and "First Defeat." Such a beautiful artist.

Holiday Nails

With Thanksgiving being next week and Christmas coming the next month, everything/everyone seems to be getting in the Holiday spirit! I love a good festive nail color, so here are my top five shades for the Holidays!

I selected brands that could be found at the drugstore and at a high end makeup store.

The first color is by Ciate, it is a vibrant silver shade called Fit for a Queen.  This will be great for New Years or Christmas day.
Buy a similar shade here

The second is a pure white color by Essie called Blanc. This white shade reminds me of a cozy snow day that is spent inside.
Buy it here

Third is by one of my favorite brands, Butter London. This shade is the perfect Christmas red that has a hint of shimmer. The color is called Knees Up.
Buy it here

The fourth shade is also by Butter London. I actually wear this shade year round, it reminds me of a mermaid with how the color is a mix of blue, purple, silver, and sparkles. This shade is called Knackered and be bought here

The last shade is a drugstore find and it is not your typical black polish. There are tiny red sparkles in it, which makes it being called Red Velvet a perfect fit!

Sunday Best

Yesterday was a big day for my youngest cousin, it was his conformation into the Catholic church. With that big day, it meant that the family had to dig out their Sunday best.

The dress I chose is a deep blue baby doll dress. It reminds me of something out of the 70's! I ordered this from Zara during their sale over the summer and this is the first time I have been able to wear it.

I added in a tie in head band from Asos to had a little more to the look.

I finished the look with my tan shoes from Zara and my smaller bag by Coach. This look is perfect for church or any of occasion that you have to get a little bit dressed up (but not too much)!

Saturday was a little chilly and I had the chance to go out for an Indian lunch with my boyfriend and we spent the rest of the day cuddled up watching some movies! I went for my usual look...lots of black! I got all bundled up in my trench coat, knee high boots, and beanie to lunch.

Grunging up my boyfriends clothes

Ladies, if you have a boyfriend/husband, you will understand this post. For some reason I love to take my boyfriends shirts to wear, now mind you, I am a size small and he is an XL. Monday I was lucky enough to secretly take another shirt and I decided to be a lazy college student...we all have those days. With that laziness in mind, I decided to wear it to class yesterday!!

I have a thing were I like to look like I just got done at a punk rock concert. All I did was tuck his shirt in a little bit and I rolled the sleeves, the jacket became a nice layering piece (and it has leather on it, so that makes it even better). Paired with some destroyed jeans and a messy pony, it made for a perfect outfit for wearing for a day of classes!

Jeans: American Eagle (I grunged them up myself)
Top: One of Joshua's
Jacket: PacSun
Shoes: H&M
Bag: Kate Spade
Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs

First voxbox!

about three-four weeks ago I heard of a website called Influenster.com. I decided to do a little searching through it and I found out how amazing the site really is. You create an account and get points based off of your social media and then get more points by doing reviews to unlock badges based off of certain products. I got an email about a week into it to do a survey to possibly receive one of their free boxes. When I found out I was picked I was so excited! It took about a week for my box to arrive and here is what was included.

I received the Dean's List voxbox, in the box it came with:
-A whole package of Playtex Sport Fresh Balanced tampons
-A package of Airheads Bites
- A package of Luden's watermelon flavored cough drops (perfect, since I got sick last night)
-Softlips Cube in the flavor Fresh Mint
-Kiss Looks so Natural false eyelashes
- SinfulColors nail polish in No Text Red
-Ball Frixion pens in blue and black

Now, I just recieved this as of thirty minutes ago, I am going to be taking the next few weeks to test these products out! I am excited to be a part of the Influenster family and I look forward to getting more boxes.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Mini Autumn Haul

It has been a while since I have made a post, I started a new college and I have been trying to get used to my new schedule. Well, fall is slowly starting to make its way into our lives and I am loving it! With fall arriving, the need for warmer clothes has also become a must! Over the last few weeks I have purchased a few things that I can use for my transition from summer to fall (and winter) a little easier!

I ordered this Wildfox sweater after seeing that I would only be spending $50, compared to almost $200 off of Revolve.com. The thin sweater will be amazing for layering in the fall and for just being cozy on those chilly days. The only downside, is the beautifully sparkly tag itches so badly and it can only be dry cleaned.

I recently died the top part of my ombre hair a little darker for the colder months, which means I had to switch my eye brows up a little bit. I have never tried the Anastasia brand before, so I bought the Dip Brow in medium brown. I already have an eye brow brush, so I saved $18 and only have to buy the pot.

Okay, Juicy Couture has a reputation for making clothes Paris Hilton would wear, I know...But when my local Kohls started carrying this brand at a reduced rate, I had to give in and try their velour joggers. I got them in black and OH MY GOSH, I now understand why some girls swear by these. They are incredibly soft and warm! Not to mention I scored them at $30, instead of the almost $100 price through the actual brand. I am already thinking about getting more.

UniDays had a recent deal were I could get 25% off on Asos.com and I had to try and find something. This scarf is more of a huge blanket, the material is thick and luxurious, so naturally, I gave in. I love the black, cream, and grey stripes on it. I also love how I will be able to wear this so many different ways.

Forget Yankee Candle, I swear by Bath & Body Works candles! You can smell these things throughout my whole apartment. This particular candle is a mix of sweet Vermont maple and sea salt. I know I will have to go back and buy a few more to keep my stock up there until spring time hits!

This one has been a favorite of mine for a few years and I am happy they keep bringing it back! The mix is golden nectar, red apple, and spiced berries. This is what you think fall would smell like, 100%!

The only thing not described is the striped sweat shirt (pictured in first picture). I received it in a sale at American Eagle last week and ZERO pictures can be found...It is basically a thin over sized sweat shirt, I got the size xsmall/small and it is still perfectly roomy. I have been wearing mine with leggings or with a lot of layering for walking to and from class, it was also only $12. Above is a similar one that is from Old Navy.

July Favorites

Happy first day of August! I felt like kicking off the new month by doing a list of my favorites from July.  While most of them are beauty/makeup products, I do have two favorites that I have fallen in love with over the last month!

First up is this amazing candle! I am a big candle lover, especially a unique one. I gave in once I heard a bunch of beauty YouTubers raving about it, so I decided to give it a shot. The smell is more of a Chai Tea scent, but a little darker! It will be perfect for this fall as well.

I decided to toss some candy in here, because this candy is a new favorite of mine. It is a Polish brand of candy and it consists of a dried plum, filled with chocolate cream and covered in dark chocolate! Intense, I know! With being Ukrainian/Polish I love sticking to my roots and my family always gets me candy from there, as well as our family friends that are from Poland!

Oh, Lush...how I love you so! For $6 I got a bottle of dry shampoo that will last me forever! It is a powder base and smells of lemon, just rub some in you hair and BOOM you are all set! You don't have to worry about spending $20 a month a dry shampoo since its a powder and not in a can.

I always gravitate towards this lip butter by Korres, it comes in a range of colors and scents and works better than any lip balm I have ever bought. I have yet to try the Guava and I realized I have been missing out, the smell is amazing and I love how the color is extremely sheer. I describe it as lotion for my lips, they don't feel dry and cracked a few hours later!

With it being summer time I always have to have an illuminator on me, this one by NARS is incredible. I got the color Copacabana and the color is a pink/pearl shade. I love putting some under my eyes and above my lip for a great pick me up, not to mention a little of this goes a long ways!

Lastly, I want to talk about the newest addition to my makeup family. I only gave into this bronzer by Marc Jacobs, because of its size. It is bigger than a phone (no jokes)! It is ten times better than Laguna by Nars, I don't have to dig at the pan since it is so pigmented. It works great and is super easy to blend out. It may be $50, but it is going to last forever!!!
